On Friday, 21 November 2025, Prestige Malaysia celebrated the 9th edition of its Prestige KL Ball at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with Gethá, Martell, Penfolds, Porsche Malaysia, Royal Salute, and vivo Malaysia. The annual year-end ball was held under the theme White Mirage – bringing together members of Malaysia’s high society, industry titans, tastemakers, and Friends of Prestige for a night of celebration.
The evening commenced with guests arriving to cocktails and canapés, with a standout moment featuring the arrival of Ms. Lee Jim Leng, Group Managing Director & CEO, Hong Leong Investment Bank (HLIB); Ms. Valerie Ong Pui Shan, CEO, KIP Real Estate Investment Trust; and Christine Cheah, who were chauffeured to the venue in Porsche’s new Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé.
The doors to the Grand Ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur opened at 19:45, where guests were welcomed with a recap video of all of Prestige Malaysia’s achievements in 2025. This was followed by welcome remarks from Björn Rettig, CEO, BurdaLuxury, and Lena Kwek, Managing Director & Publisher, BurdaLuxury Singapore & Malaysia, who touched on the resilience of the Malaysian luxury market and highlighted the importance of community – honouring the esteemed guests in attendance who comprise some of the nation’s most influential figures.
Following the opening remarks from Rettig and Kwek, the first entertainment portion of the evening kicked off with a collaboration between Team Namja and violinist Josh Kua, serving as a prelude to the awards portion of the evening. This year, the Vanguard Award was presented to Ms. Valerie Ong Pui Shan, CEO, KIP Real Estate Investment Trust, and the Tastemaker Award was presented to Ms. Lee Jim Leng, Group Managing Director & CEO, Hong Leong Investment Bank (HLIB).
This was followed by the Glamour Awards, whose recipients this year include Ms. Melissa Lim Mae Lyn; Ms. Monica Lai; Ms. Nadia Nasimuddin; Ms. Toh Su Quinn; and Dato’ Sri Bernard Chandran.
The evening concluded with a dance performance by Team Namja, after which DJ Ashely took over, keeping the guests on the dance floor all throughout the night.
Notable attendees at Prestige Malaysia’s ninth annual Prestige KL Ball included Ms. Ng Wei Wei, CEO, United Overseas Bank Malaysia Berhad; Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohd Effendi Bin Norwawi, Chairman of Enspire Ventures; Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina Eu Effendi, renowned Malaysian actress, producer, and Founder of the Enfiniti Academy of Musical Theatre and Performing Arts; and Tengku Datuk Seri Abu Bakar, Executive Chairman of Fomema Sdn Bhd and a member of the Johar royal family.
