Burda Media Polska and the Swiss company Edipresse Group reached an agreement on the sale of Edipresse Polska. Under this, Burda Media Polska will be taking over the Polish subsidiary’s multimedia and digital portfolio. This includes popular websites for women, including Wizaz.pl, Polki.pl, Party.pl, Viva.pl, Mamotoja.pl, Gotujmy.pl, Niania.pl along with true stories magazines and the biweekly periodicals Viva and Party (13 titles in total). The acquisition is subject to approval by the President of Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

It employs 2,400 people and owns 250 media brands. BurdaInternational has been operating in Poland for over 25 years offering a diversified portfolio of over 60 products – including magazines and cutting-edge digital media – that target consumers of all ages.
Edipresse has been a force on the Polish market since 1995. It started by becoming one of the leading publishers of women’s magazines, and then expanded progressively with websites in the lifestyle, beauty, and cuisine categories. At the same time, it provided online services for parents. According to research by Mediapanel PBI / Gemius, Edipresse numbers among the country’s top 25 internet groups and reaches almost nine million internet users.
With the decision to accept the bid from Burda Media Polska, Edipresse Group has taken a strategic decision to withdraw from its core business in Poland. The Swiss-based Group continues to own Wydawnictwo Edipresse, which produces books, series on collectibles, custom publications and it owns the language school Lincoln.
