On the afternoon of Thursday, 7 May 2026, Lifestyle Asia Thailand celebrated the very best of the nation’s culinary landscape with its inaugural Best Bites Awards. Hosted at Andaz One Bangkok in partnership with Flying Goose, Vero, Maison Perrier under the Pinnacle Gastro Group, and Pico Vino, the event brought together Bangkok’s tastemakers, visionaries, and culinary talents to honour the vibrant F&B scene that solidifies Thailand as a world-class dining destination.
The afternoon kicked off with opening remarks from Björn Rettig, CEO, BurdaLuxury.
“The Best Bites Awards is a natural extension of our Best Bites campaign, which we launched for the first time in Thailand in 2024,” said Rettig. “The awards this afternoon honours Bangkok’s finest restaurants, bars, cafés, and patisseries across 14 categories. What makes this award ceremony truly special is that the winners were crowned by our readers in a 100% democratic way – no group of judges, critics, or influencers were involved. We received over 10,000 verified votes for our first-ever awards and I want to thank our readers for raising the bar in creating a fairer, more honest standard for food awards.”
Before the official awards ceremony, the afternoon provided data-driven insights into the evolving culinary landscape in Southeast Asia. Attendees engaged in a thought-provoking panel discussion based on research that was conducted by BurdaLuxury in partnership with Vero, collecting data from 600 respondents across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The afternoon’s panellists included Lisa Cheyenne Gries, Managing Editor of Lifestyle Asia Thailand and Prestige Online, Sireethon Auerat, Account Director at Vero, and Fah Patcharamon Charoenchai from Masterchef Thailand Season 4, and was moderated by Piradej Monga, Regional Marketing Communications & Branding Manager at BurdaLuxury.
The panel explored actionable strategies for restaurants to turn consumer hesitancy into confidence, and discussed the importance of authenticity, hyper-personalised dining, and ways in which the F&B industry can successfully expand its influence into entertainment and holistic lifestyle experiences.
The official awards ceremony commenced following the panel discussion. Lifestyle Asia Thailand recognised the culinary champions across 14 categories, with the winners for each of the categories including:
