Prestige Malaysia Celebrates 8th Annual 40 Under 40 Event

On Thursday, 12 September 2024, Prestige Malaysia hosted their 8th annual 40 Under 40 event at Luca, BSC, in partnership with Luca, Lladró, The Sound and Light, Pernod Ricard Malaysia, and its brands, Jacob’s Creek Wines, Martell, Royal Salute, and Perrier-Jouët. Imaduddin Suhaimi, founding partner at Imaduddin & Lew Chambers, was the keynote speaker for this year’s event. Suhaimi spoke to the honourees about the meaning of success in today’s evolving landscape, highlighting the important fact that although not one person’s story to success will be identical to one another, one thing that can be agreed on is that success isn’t easy.

“I hope each and every one of you finds that balance, that satisfaction, that happiness, in your own personal journey to and through success,” said Suhaimi. “After all, the future of the Malaysian business landscape is sat before me, and I for one cannot wait to see what the future holds.”

An initiative which has been an integral component of the Prestige brand across Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and now Cambodia, 40 Under 40 unites influential and innovative individuals across many fronts to celebrate their positive impact and contribution towards the socio-economic landscape of their respective countries. This year, Prestige Malaysia celebrates the exceptional achievement of 40 young professionals who are like-minded in their mission to strive for the best while empowering others and shaping Malaysia’s future.

Following welcome speeches from Natasha Kraal, Publisher at BurdaLuxury Kuala Lumpur, and Zai Tengku Long Haniff, Editor at Prestige Malaysia, this year’s 40 Under 40 honourees enjoyed an evening of delicious food and cocktails whilst getting to know one another and growing their connections. Nona Ushera served as the performer for the evening.

The 2024 honourees received a framed memorabilia of their 40 Under 40 Class of 2024 portrait shots and a goodie bag with products from Plié Malaysia, Soko, Paloma, Lyfe Clinic, DobiQueen, Durian Capital, Emperor Capital, Ulu Soleil, and Nizam Bistro.

The final portion of the evening was an awards ceremony, presented in partnership with Lladró. This year’s awards featured five categories:

  • The Trailblazer: Tan Veen Dee, Co-Founder and Chief Creative of Hanya and Harirose
  • The Pioneer: Christopher Yee, Founder and Chef of Topshelf, Founder of Colonial Spirits
